How can we support your employment needs?

Habilitation and Training Services, Inc. has been supporting individuals with disabilities since 1976. We are uniquely qualified to support businesses in three ways; In-House Jobs, Contract or Temporary Employment and Supported Employment. Information regarding the 3 ways we assist local businesses is contained in this brochure along with contact information if you are interested in learning more about or utilizing our services. Thank you for your interest.

Supported Employment

H.A.T.S., Inc. supports individuals to be competitively employed at actual businesses in the community and hired under a typical job description. We will provide a job coach/staff that will help support and train the individual on the individual's job duties. The job coach will also ensure that all parties/stakeholders involved are comfortable with the employee's quality of work and acclamation into the work culture. Therefore, the individual is employed by you and there is no charge for job coaching. This is an incredible opportunity for businesses to hire for entry level positions and fill the void by hiring for a portion of a job description that could be filled with a part-time worker. By hiring individuals directly, the business can take advantage of a "Work Opportunity Tax Credit".

Contract or Temporary Labor

H.A.T.S., Inc. is able to provide a group of employees to perform work at your company. This unique labor arrangement provides companies with a number of employees that you need to perform a job along with an onsite supervisor from H.A.T.S., Inc. The company pays H.A.T.S., Inc. a monthly fee for all services rendered. H.A.T.S. Inc is responsible to pay the workers directly, worker's compensation and unemployment for all individuals and their supervisor while at the job site. A written agreement detailing the specifics of the contract and the financial arrangements will be negotiated between H.A.T.S., Inc. and you. Individuals in this scenario can be utilized in a variety of settings and work particularly well in production/industrial environments. This opportunity also helps companies that utilize temporary labor or have areas that need better efficiency that leads to quality.

In-House Jobs

H.A.T.S. supports approximately 170 individuals in workshops located in Sumner, Robertson and Trousdale counties that do a variety of industrial jobs for their community. This provides you with a large labor force outside of your business that can perform production work of any kind. Examples include packaging, repackaging, sorting, labeling, mailers, disassembly and assembly. We use a variety of equipment such as shrink wrap, saws, and blister packs. We also provide loading docks, storage, and shipping and receiving, pick up and delivery and quality control. This opportunity works well for companies that have a large volume of work that cannot be done on site or have companies that have temporary production work that is done more financially feasible and efficiently in another facility.
